Migration to Active Query Builder 2 .NET Edition is simplified.

The new version of Active Query Builder 2 .NET Edition provides the necessary tools to ease migration from the old version.

There are two command-line utilities available to ease the migration. The Form Designer Conversion utility searches the .designer.cs and .designer.vb files for obsolete properties and events and replaces them with the new ones. The Metadata XML Conversion utility converts XML files with metadata from the old to new XML format.

The Knowledge Book article about migrating from the old version is updated. Changes in the public properties and events of the QueryBuilder component are described in detail. The new chapter about metadata handling in the new version is made. Some bugs are fixed as well.

Customers can download the new version at the Customer's area. Trial versions are available at the Download page.

We have been using Active Query Builder for over a year and must say that both the product and support have been outstanding!

We chose Active Query Builder due to its flexibility and features, but have been truly pleased by its power and hidden capabilities. ...

In summary Active Query Builder provides excellent components, great support and a very flexible feature set. It has allowed us to provide features to our end users that I did not think would be possible in the first release of our new tools and in a timeframe that was much shorter than planned. I would recommend that anyone dealing with databases in the .Net world should be aware of this component and its capabilities!
