Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition 0.7 is released.

We're glad to announce the new version of Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition. You can download the newest version or request the trial at the download page.

What's new in the Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition version 0.7?

  • The new SubQueryNavigationBar is added to manage sub-queries.
    It's UnionNavBarVisible property determines visibility of the Unions navigation controls within this bar.

Minor changes since the version 0.6.1:

  • Overall performance imrovements are made.
  • Compatibility with partial trust environments is improved.
  • The new QueryBuilderControl.SleepModeChanged event is added.
  • The new QueryBuilderControl.DisableSessionKeeper property is added.
  • The new UserDataReceived event is added to the QueryBuilderControl to allow user controls to register for handling an AJAX callback with custom user data.
  • Other minor improvements and bug fixes ade made.

What's next?

In the next release we will move the control to the Active Query Builder 2 .NET engine. Thus, it will receive all advantages of the new major version, such as instant initialization, ability to customize the database schema tree, etc.

In summary Active Query Builder provides excellent components, great support and a very flexible feature set. It has allowed us to provide features to our end users that I did not think would be possible in the first release of our new tools and in a timeframe that was much shorter than planned. I would recommend that anyone dealing with databases in the .Net world should be aware of this component and its capabilities!
