Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition 2.3 is released.

We're glad to announce the new version of Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition. You can evaluate the new version by requesting the trial. Customers can download the new version in the Customer's area.

What's new in the Active Query Builder ASP.NET Edition version 2.3?

  • Support for MS SQL Server 2014 is added.
  • The Add Linked Objects menu now has separate items for each link if there are multiple links to the linked object.
  • Keyboard navigation in the Query Columns Grid is implemented.
  • Some steps to make the component accessible for people with disabilities are taken:
    • Role attributes are added;
    • Keyboard navigation over all parts of the component is made;
    • ARIA-LABEL attributes for narrative speaking are added;
    • New high-contrast theme is applied.
  • The new Accessibility demo is added.

To turn on keyboard navigation, link the "accessibility.css" and "accessibility.js" files from the "web-parts" folder to your web page. Use the "1" to "5" keys to switch between main parts of the component: database schema tree, sub-query navigation bar, design pane, query columns grid and query text editor. Use Tab and Shift-Tab keys to navigate over the controls. Use Enter to step into the sub-items of complex controls: datasource field lists, and cells of the query columns grid.

Testimonials

We have been using Active Query Builder for over a year and must say that both the product and support have been outstanding!

We chose Active Query Builder due to its flexibility and features, but have been truly pleased by its power and hidden capabilities. ...

In summary Active Query Builder provides excellent components, great support and a very flexible feature set. It has allowed us to provide features to our end users that I did not think would be possible in the first release of our new tools and in a timeframe that was much shorter than planned. I would recommend that anyone dealing with databases in the .Net world should be aware of this component and its capabilities!
